ROLLA – For the second year in a row, the Missouri S&T men’s golf team has placed a student-athlete on the Golf Coaches of America Association (GCAA) PING All-Region Team. This year, Carl Miltun (Gilbert, AZ/Williams Field)found himself on the All-Region Midwest Team along with eight other Great Lakes Valley Conference golfers.
Miltun, a freshman out of Gilbert, Az., had a breakout first season with the Miners. He placed in the top-five individually in four tournaments this season, including winning the GLVC Championship with a 215 final score. His season performance, along with the GLVC Championship win, earned him a spot at the NCAA DII Regional Play where he completed the 54-hole tournament with a 224 final score.
Miltun was also named the GLVC Freshman of the Year and First Team All-GLVC.
